Horniman Museum's new Nature Gallery to open in February 2027

The Horniman Museum in south-east London has announced that its fully refurbished Nature Gallery will open in February 2027. Formerly known as the Natural History Gallery, the space forms the final part of the museum's £12.5m Nature + Love transformation project. It will feature more than 2,300 objects, including the museum's famous overstuffed walrus, alongside artist commissions, multisensory activities, and exhibits addressing climate change, extinction, and plastic pollution.
