Complex issues delay £350,000 Ipswich athletics track revamp
Überblick
A £350,000 project to resurface the ageing athletics track at Northgate Sports Centre in Ipswich has been postponed due to unforeseen technical difficulties and complex issues. The track, which has not been resurfaced in 25 years, was closed and caused disruption for local running clubs including Ipswich JAFFA, Orwell Panthers, and Ipswich Harriers. Although the major resurfacing has been delayed, the track has now been deemed safe following minor repairs, allowing clubs to return while the full project is expected to progress at a later date.
